Send PingWatchdog uptime alerts to Microsoft Teams. Get notified in your team channel the moment a monitor fails. Set up in 2 minutes. Free plan included.

How it works

Set up an incoming webhook in Teams

In Microsoft Teams, go to the channel where you want alerts. Click the three dots next to the channel name, select Connectors, find Incoming Webhook, and click Configure. Give it a name and copy the webhook URL.

Add the webhook to PingWatchdog

In your PingWatchdog dashboard, go to Alert Channels and click Add Channel. Select Webhooks. Paste the Teams webhook URL and name the channel Teams Alerts.

Assign to monitors

Edit any monitor and add your Teams alert channel. Configure alert thresholds per monitor: fire on the 1st failure for critical production services, or after 3 consecutive failures for staging environments.

What alerts you will get

You will get three types of alerts in Teams: down notifications when a monitor fails, up notifications when it recovers, and degraded performance warnings when response times spike. Each alert includes the monitor name, the error type, and a link to your PingWatchdog dashboard.

Setup guide

  1. Step 1: In Microsoft Teams: Channel > Connectors > Incoming Webhook > Configure. Name it and copy the webhook URL.
  2. Step 2: In PingWatchdog: Alert Channels > Add Channel > Webhooks. Paste the Teams webhook URL.
  3. Step 3: Edit your monitors and add the Teams channel under Alert Channels.
  4. Step 4: Test the integration using the Test button. The next time a monitor goes down, your team sees it in Teams.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send alerts to multiple Teams channels?

Yes. Set up an incoming webhook for each Teams channel, then add each webhook as a separate alert channel in PingWatchdog. Assign channels to different monitors or severity levels.

Do Teams alerts support Adaptive Cards?

PingWatchdog sends a simple message card format to Teams. Full Adaptive Card support with rich formatting and action buttons is on the roadmap.

Can I mention specific teams or people in alerts?

The current webhook integration sends a standard message card. @mention support in Teams messages requires the full Microsoft Graph API and is planned for a future update.
